Alive, Well, and Still Investing!

Passion for Investing

Seems like forever, or just 136 days ago, since I last posted, but the good news is I’m still alive, well, and investing! The beauty of compounding investments is that they continue to work for you while you sleep, while you work, and while you play. There has certainly been some growth in my investments these past few months, which I will update and get to in due course as time allows over the next month or two.

So where have I been? Well, life has been incredibly busy the last four or five months with some travel, recreational activities, and other big life events. Some of the highlights over that time frame was proposing to my girlfriend back in mid-May, playing softball three to four days a week, starting an MBA program, and transitioning from an accounting role at work to one in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). As with everyone out there, life is too fun to stay bored, so needless to say I haven’t been bored the last few months!

My plan for the blog is to actually begin posting my monthly updates (even though they are quite late) for both Lending Club and dividend growth investments. In addition to adding those monthly updates back into things, I will try to lay out some of the additional purchases and other investments I’ve made in the last five months or so, which will be added into the monthly updates as they affect things. Once I get everything back up to date I should be good to continue updating everything on a monthly basis. My passion for investing has not changed, and nor should yours! Let’s continue working on our respective financial independence together.

Update: In addition to my Lending Club and dividend growth investments, I’ve added Prosper to the mix and updated my 2013 goals!
