Can you believe it’s almost May? Wow, where has the time gone!! With spring is in full force and so is the nicer weather it is getting harder to stay indoors during the evenings. This past week was a pretty eventful week here on the blog. While light on posts, I was able to complete the upgrade to my theme, as well as do a lot of administrative work on the “undercarriage” of the blog. Looking forward to tweaking and improving things over the next few months!
Some awesome articles I read this week:
Financial Samurai: One Big Risk Of Peer-To-Peer Lending: You Might Get Addicted! – Boy can I relate to this! I am extremely bullish on peer-to-peer lending (Check out my Lending Club investments!) and love tracking and investing loans. Sam is beginning to see the level of addiction he is capable of as he plays a role in the financial lives of others as they seek loans.
Dividend Mantra: Dividend Investing For Beginners – If you have ever been interested in dividend growth investing, DM has put together and outstanding list of resources just for you. I have used several of these resources and believe that this should start to answer your questions into dividend growth investing!
Modest Money/Bite the Bullet: What Does Procrastination Really Cost – Guest post at Modest Money by William at Bite the Bullet shows the startling graphics of how procrastination can cost you tremendously when investing and saving for retirement. If you’ve ever wondered about how devastating financial procrastination can be, this post reveals the stark reality.
Budgets are Sexy: “How do I keep myself satisfied ’till I reach my goals?” – While answering a reader’s question, J. Money’s response made me evaluate my own long-term goals, and my plans to stay motivated in the interim. For me it is all about setting smaller and more frequent goals. An example of this is my 2013 passive income goals. Short, concise, and with a finite time frame, this will be something either achieve or fail out.
